Shareholder, Kristin Mathis obtained a victory for one of MVPF’s national retail clients. The Plaintiff was bitten by a dog while inside one of the client’s stores and alleged the client should be held responsible for her injuries, which included Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. Ms. Mathis filed a Motion for Summary Judgment arguing a landowner cannot be negligent for a dog bite that occurred on its premises without prior knowledge of the dog’s violent tendencies. The Court agreed and granted the MSJ as to all three of Plaintiff’s causes of action.
